Hey there,
People ask, "how did you get into this?" Here's my story, a short version.
At 15, I began my design journey by styling home décor at my small town hardware store. I then fell in love with and studied Interior Design, earned my degree and immediately dove into kitchen and bath design as an employee for a design-build firm. The highlight for me at 22 was being recognized nationally as one of the top in the kitchen + bath design industry. I love kitchens, they are their to nourish our body and create connection.
Fast forward a bit and I’m 25, having a legit quarter-life crisis (LOL I swear they are real). I ended my relationship of 4 years, left my full time job and moved to a new city to pursue my own business. What came unexpected was learning to slow down and finding my own voice in the uncomfortable.
Then, I discovered my love for travel and saw how crucial to self growth and connection it is to experience different cultures and areas of the world. Travel plays a big role in my world and I love doing it slowly.
At 27, I purchased a home and started my first vacation rental on Airbnb. As a Airbnb super host, it’s truly rewarding to provide a healing or simply calming experience to guests through interior design. I have never felt so fulfilled. Now at 30, I am creating more STRs and helping others do it too.
Thank you for being here.
With love,
Chelsey Preuss
While creating a beautiful home is important, to me it’s all about inner beauty. It’s about what we can’t see that creates flow and functionality.
All of the calming, sensory details: accent mood lighting , burning my Dear Travel candles, the comfiest of bedding (I value my sleep so much), chill nostalgic music, yummy nourishing foods and dark chocolate for my sweet tooth!
Slow, mindful practices of being present as they nourish your body and mind. For me it's cuddling with my cat Honey before I get out of bed, then taking the time to make a yummy breakfast paired with a cup of tea.
I 'm such a hermit lol, I like to be in my home reading something new or cooking something I've never made before. I also love adventure though, so when I do get out I am seeking out new restaurants, thrift shops or hiking trails I haven't been to before.
Connecting and collaborating with women whether it's to design their Airbnb, personal home, business or simply collaborate on a project. I value artistry in all forms and connection with humanity as a whole is the most important thing in life.
Ooo, this is tough! My self-love journey has flourished so much in my twenties. I'd say I'm proud of my curious and compassionate soul. It allows me to continually grow, connect deeply with others and experience life in BIG ways!
